Half-Kneeling Calf Stretch

The half-kneeling calf stretch is a static lower-leg stretch performed with one knee on the floor and the other leg extended in front. Drawing the toes of the extended leg toward the shin lengthens the calf, while the position can also create a mild hamstring stretch. It supports ankle mobility and lower-leg flexibility.

Technique tips

  1. Keep the heel of the extended leg in contact with the floor.
  2. Use a folded towel or pad under the kneeling knee if the floor is uncomfortable.
  3. Move only to a mild stretching sensation; do not bounce or force the range.
  4. Keep the extended foot pointing upward rather than letting it turn outward.
