An explosive full-body lift that takes one dumbbell from the floor to overhead in a single continuous movement.

Demonstration

Instructions

  1. Stand with feet about shoulder-width apart and a dumbbell between them. Bend your hips and knees, brace your torso and grip the dumbbell with one hand.
  2. Push through the floor and extend your hips and knees powerfully, keeping the dumbbell close to your body.
  3. Guide the dumbbell upward, then move your hand underneath it and catch it overhead with a straight arm and softly bent knees. Stand tall to finish.
  4. Lower the dumbbell to your shoulder, then return it to the floor under control. Repeat and train both sides.
