A static hold on parallettes with straight arms and both legs extended forward. The trunk and hip flexors hold the legs near horizontal while the arms support the body.

Demonstration

Instructions

  1. Place stable parallettes beside your hips, grip them, and press down with straight arms to lift your body clear of the floor.
  2. Bring both legs forward, straighten your knees, and hold your feet near hip height while keeping your shoulders away from your ears.
  3. Maintain the position while breathing steadily, then lower your feet and body to the floor under control.
