Lying Knee Tuck

The lying knee tuck is a bodyweight abdominal exercise performed on your back by drawing the knees toward the chest and then extending the legs with control. It primarily trains the abs while the hip flexors assist. It supports core strength and control without requiring equipment.

Technique tips

  1. Keep your lower back gently pressed toward the floor as your legs extend.
  2. Shorten the leg extension if you cannot maintain a stable trunk position.
  3. Move deliberately rather than using momentum to pull the knees in.
  4. Exhale as you draw the knees in and inhale as you extend the legs.
