Band Seated Calf Stretch

The Band Seated Calf Stretch is a seated flexibility exercise in which a resistance band gently pulls the toes toward the body. It targets the calf muscles and can help improve ankle range of motion and lower-leg flexibility.

  2. Place the band: Loop the center of a resistance band around the ball of one foot and hold one end in each hand.

  4. Hold and switch: Breathe steadily, hold without bouncing, then release slowly and repeat on the other side.

Technique tips

  1. Use gentle tension: The stretch should feel mild to moderate, never sharp or painful.
  2. Keep the knee straight: Bending it shifts emphasis away from the calf stretch.
  3. Do not bounce: Use a steady hold and controlled release rather than pulling abruptly on the band.
