Bike Easy Warm-Up

Easy bike warm-up is gentle stationary cycling performed before a workout. It gradually raises heart rate, warms the leg muscles, and mobilizes the hips and knees. It supports readiness for training while keeping effort comfortable and controlled.

Instructions

  1. Set up the bike so the saddle allows a slight bend in your knee at the bottom of each pedal stroke; adjust the handlebars to a comfortable reach.
  2. Mount safely, place both feet securely on the pedals, sit tall, and keep your hands relaxed on the handlebars.
  3. Begin pedaling easily with light resistance and a smooth, comfortable cadence. Keep your shoulders relaxed and your knees tracking in line with your feet.
  4. Build gradually for several minutes, raising the pace only enough to feel warmer and lightly out of breath. Avoid hard efforts during the warm-up.

Technique tips

  1. Keep resistance light. This is preparation, not a fitness test; you should be able to speak comfortably.
  2. Pedal smoothly. Avoid bouncing on the saddle or pushing forcefully through each stroke.
  3. Use a pain-free range. Stop and adjust the setup if you feel sharp pain or persistent discomfort in a knee, hip, or back.
